Privacy policy
This policy covers SAT Vocabulary: Daily Words (the app) and this website. They are run by Cedar Summit Mobile LLC ("we" and "us"), based in Colorado, USA.
The short version
The app works on your iPhone. You don't create an account, and we don't ask for your name, email address, location or contacts. Your study progress stays on your device.
What stays on your device
The app stores your progress, streak, the words you've marked, and your settings (such as your test date, daily goal and reminder time) on your iPhone. We don't receive this information. Deleting the app removes it from your device. App data may also be part of your iPhone backups, which Apple manages.
Reminders
Daily reminders are scheduled on your device. No server is involved. You can turn them off at any time in the iPhone Settings app.
Purchases
Apple processes all payments. We never see your card number or Apple Account details.
To know whether you have Premium, we use a service called RevenueCat. It receives your purchase and subscription information, such as your Apple receipt and transaction details, along with basic device information like device type and operating system, and an app user ID. That ID is a random value created for your copy of the app, and it isn't based on your name or email address. RevenueCat acts on our behalf and handles this information under its own privacy policy.
Information from Apple
Apple gives developers reports about downloads and sales and, for people who have chosen to share it, usage and crash data. We use these reports to see how the app is doing and to fix problems. They don't identify you to us.
This website
We don't add cookies, analytics or advertising trackers to this website. Cloudflare hosts it and, like any host, processes standard connection data such as your IP address to deliver pages and keep the site secure.
If you email us
We receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use them to reply and to help with your problem, and we keep support emails for as long as we need them to do that and to keep a record of requests.
Sharing
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. Apart from Apple, which handles your purchase, RevenueCat is the only outside service that receives information from the app. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
Children
The app is made for high-school students and isn't directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.
Your choices
- Delete the app to remove the information stored on your device.
- Turn off reminders in the iPhone Settings app.
- To ask what we hold about you, such as subscription records tied to your app user ID, or to ask us to delete it, email privacy@cedarsummitmobile.com. We may ask for details such as your purchase date to find your records.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights. Contact us and we'll respond as the law requires.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version on this page and update the effective date.
